The Chronicle Herald Business -SURVEYORS ARE tech-savvy problem solvers with a taste for the outdoors, says John Conn, a partner in the Halifax surveying firm Thompson Conn Ltd.
"Clients don’t want to hear about problems, they want solutions," he said in a recent interview.
Mr. Conn, who got involved in surveying after being exposed to it while working in another field - "they had neat instruments and were working outdoors" - said surveyors are detail-oriented individuals able to work alone in sometimes difficult field situations.
