The newly formed company is based in Front Royal, Virginia and offers infrastructure and land development solutions nationwide. Harken-Reidar provides civil design, surveying and construction solutions comprising implementation, training and education on Autodesk, Bentley and Carlson products. The sales and training staff consists of internationally experienced Registered Professional Engineers and Licensed Land Surveyors, all of whom have over 20 years of experience worldwide.
The company is the founding member of Carlson College and offers training on the complete line of Carlson Software products for Civil, Survey and Construction. Harken-Reidar is a pioneer in focusing its Autodesk Authorized Premier Training Center to serve Civil 3D users nationwide. The company’s staff has been training on Civil 3D since its inception and has traveled the world implementing it. Their 5th book entitled “AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010: Procedures and Applications”, is being published by Prentice Hall Publishing in April, 2009. Harken-Reidar brings additional services to the industry as a reseller for Carlson Software products nationwide and as a solutions provider for Bentley Systems on InRoads, GeoPak, Powercivil and MicroStation. The company is led by Harry O. Ward, PE, who was Vice President of Carlson Software in charge of the Civil Engineering Division and Carlson College.
