Has anyone used one?
I was in Walmart the other day, and saw one that you can recharge, and it has a round/ 12VDC plug, and has 2 regular ac outlets. The box says it can run a laptop for 14 hours on a charge. It is a Schumacher, I believe. I have a battery charger made by them, and it is of good quality.
My small inverter bit the dust, and my new one won't run through the cigarette plug. It needs to be attached to the battery with the battery clips. It's a pain to pop the hood, and run an extension cord into the truck. I haven't had the time to hardwire it to the battery. Even then, I have been told that you need to unplug them when you start the truck.
All I would be using it for would be a laptop and a small printer/copier.
Thanks,
Jimmy
