I have set up a survey style on my Leica 1200 system to use WAAS, mostly for a test. There are some cases where I want to set some lath at an approximate location just for a general field review with environment, construction and lands folks to see if a transmission structure site is feasible.

Anyway, at least in my area, I have access to WAAS in the morning without a hitch-but around 2:00 p.m. it disappears and I can't seem to get anything. Is this common throughout the country?

I'm particularly interested in answers in California. as I have some of this type of work coming up in a couple of weeks. Hoping not to bring my full-blown RTK set up out there this time.
