Fredericksburg.com: James Norman Taylor Jr., 63, of Culpeper County passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, after a long illness.
He was born May 9, 1946, to the late James Norman and Marjorie Pierce Taylor.
Jim was a gifted mathematician, which led to his career in surveying. During his 19-year tenure in Northern Virginia, he received his Virginia registered land surveyor license. In 1991, Jim became a founding member and, ultimately, the sole owner of Benchmark Surveying Inc.
