With great sadness I report that Bill Strange passed away Sunday evening, May 10. Bill, known as the "Father of CORS," will be remembered for his insight and vision of a nationwide system of GPS stations which established the CORS network we know today. Bill retired from his position as Chief Geodesist in 1998 and remained active in the online geodetic community.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. and service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18 at the Episcopal Church in Charles Town, WV. For more information please refer to the obituary to appear tomorrow, May 13, at
