Los Alamos, NM - Scott Gustafson, P.E., has been promoted to a vice president of Merrick & Company and the manager of the firm’s Los Alamos, New Mexico office.  As a senior manager in his new role, he is responsible for providing leadership as well as overseeing all activities of the firm’s Los Alamos operations and the projects executed by Merrick at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Gustafson has been with the firm for 15 years where he has specialized in project and team leadership and mechanical equipment design in a variety of nuclear, mechanical, and material handling related fields.  He is currently managing the Chemistry and Metallurgy Research Replacement (CMRR) Special Facilities Equipment project for LANL, and provides executive oversight of the TA-55 Reinvestment Project and various facilities and equipment design projects at LANL.

Gustafson holds a B.S. in engineering with a mechanical specialty from the Colorado School of Mines and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Glovebox Society.
