One dead snake

Out moving my sprinklers on the farm this morning I all but stepped on a rattle snake in the pasture. Had to make a decision on his fate. Snake is in my field where I work every day this time of year near where I’m going to build a house and my grandkids will play. Rocks were nearby; dead snake is out in a compartment of my truck. Nice over 3 foot plus great basin rattle snake, 8 buttons. Sorry!
