DUBUQUE, Iowa, – Eagle Point Software Corporation announced the release of LandSketch, its new software application aimed at reducing the time it takes to develop residential conceptual plans. Whether you perform this task today on paper or through the use of CAD software, LandSketch provides a set of tools geared towards producing design alternatives in a fraction of the time.

With support for multiple imagery formats, LandXML, and its connection to Google Earth, LandSketch allows designers to begin their conceptual designs by leveraging numerous forms of electronic data. Then, through intelligent sketching commands, streets and lots are easily laid out according to your own local agency requirements. Analyze multiple scenarios quickly by re-using design elements from other alternatives and utilizing real-time site statistics including lot density and rough earthwork. Once satisfied with your preliminary design, transfer the lot and street data digitally to your engineering design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, to prepare final engineering plans.

"By starting your designs in LandSketch, you avoid the time trap of over-engineering the conceptual plan using high-end design software. This time can be spent developing alternatives for your clients to ensure optimal return," explains Steve Biver, Civil Product Line Manager at Eagle Point. "Additionally, if you historically start this process on paper, using LandSketch can eliminate hours of time converting paper sketches to electronic drawings."

Pricing and Availability
A license of LandSketch is priced at $2,495 and is also available utilizing a network license manager. It is currently available for sale at the introductory price of $1,995, with shipping to begin in late November 2008.
