I took some photos of one of the first surveys I ever worked on as a rear chainman. We were surveying the blocks on each side of this street. We found nothing in either block in the way of survey markers. The blocks are divided into lots with 25 ft. frontage in the original town plat.
This is fairly typical limestone construction from this era in this area. ...
