Toronto, Canada – Optech Incorporated, a manufacturer of advanced lidar survey instruments, announced today that Pictometry International Corporation has taken delivery of its first ALTM Gemini system.

 

After an extensive evaluation of available airborne lidar systems offered on the market, Pictometry decided to select Optech’s ALTM Gemini system. The Gemini is recognized as the highest performance airborne lidar system available today, offering capabilities such as uniform scan patterns, a standard pulsed laser repetition rate of up to 167 kHz, data collection with 12-bit dynamic range and up to 4 return intensities per measurement. With this key performance and the fact that Optech has delivered over 100 systems so far, Optech was identified as Pictometry’s partner of choice.
