Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. appoints Cheryl Gregory, PE Vice President

Detroit, MI -- Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. (SDA), a regional civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying firm appoints Cheryl Gregory, PE Vice President.

Cheryl Gregory, PE received a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Technological University. Ms. Gregory is currently SDA’s Transportation Department Manager, was recently appointed an SDA Associate, and is a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. In 1999, Cheryl left her position as Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Metro Region Design Engineer to establish the MDOT Taylor Transportation Service Center (TSC). She managed this office for one year and then established the Port Huron TSC, managing this office for three years. During her tenure as TSC Manager for both Taylor and Port Huron, she also held the position of TSC Development Engineer until the positions could be filled.

“In naming Cheryl Gregory as Vice President, we are recognizing her ability and leadership in the Transportation Industry for our clients. We believe that Transportation will be a leading service area in the revitalization of Michigan, and Cheryl Gregory has the experience to lead SDA in that area,” said David A. Lakin, PE, President of SDA.


Established in 1954, Spalding DeDecker Associates, Inc. is an engineering consulting firm specializing in infrastructure, land development, and surveying. With offices in Brighton, Detroit, Monroe, Plymouth, Rochester Hills, and Trenton, Michigan, SDA is an employee-owned and ISO certified organization that provides design and engineering solutions for municipal, land development, transportation, and water/wastewater projects. The firm also offers complete construction engineering, landscape architecture, pavement management, and land surveying & mapping services.
