Michael Porter is a Land Surveyor. He works for the City of Lawton, Oklahoma. Michael Porter needs a Liver Transplant. I first heard of Michael while visiting the rpls.com surveyors website last month. Several members began a fund to help with the cost of the transplant and the ongoing medical costs which continue long after the operation.

Fund raising activities that have taken place include member auctions of items contributed to the fund, selling mulligans at a golf tournament in Lawton, and the biggest fundraiser of all, the raffle of a GPS Base Station with a value of approximately $20,000.00.

Topcon has generously donated a Topcon Net -G3 Reference Station for the raffle. A ticket for the drawing to be held on October 01, 2007 cost $100.00. I happen to have ticket No. 23.
