
Z+F USA Inc. relocated its headquarters to Bridgeville, Pa. The new location contains a larger area for stock items, a calibration room for laser scanners, and show and training rooms. The new headquarters is located at 700 Old Pond Road, Suite 606, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
SURVCON, Houston, appointed Jay Canine, RPLS, as president of the firm. Over the past decade, Canine has managed business operations and has been a key contributor to the development of the firm’s business strategy. He brings 30 years of experience in all areas of surveying for public and private clients.
The National Museum of Surveying, Springfield, Ill., appointed three new members to its Board of Trustees: Dale Beeks, a noted collector and purveyor of antique and scientific instruments; Dr. Richard Elgin, a respected educator, student of history and the holder of a collection of antique surveying equipment; and Lee Koehler, the immediate past president of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association and a principal of Cowhey, Gudmundson, Leder LTD. The appointment of new trustees is one more step toward the museum’s spring 2008 opening.

Damien J. Raffle joined Chas. H. Sells Inc., Brighton, Mass., as project surveyor. Raffle has a background in construction layout, topographic surveys and boundary analysis.
Also, Chas. H. Sells Inc., Hamilton, N.J., hired John M. Hale, PLS, as survey department manager, and John Araneo, PE, CME, as the local director of transportation infrastructure and facilities. Hale has a background in boundary and topographic surveys, aerial control, environmental mapping, parcel and right of way mapping, minor and major subdivision plots, engineering base mapping for site plans, boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, GPS data reduction and control networks. Araneo has more than 30 years of experience in the management, preparation of preliminary studies and final design of major reconstruction transportation projects.
Spalding DeDecker Associates (SDA) Inc., Detroit, named Catherine M. DeDecker, PS, as marketing manager. In her new role, DeDecker coordinates and manages all marketing activities in support of SDA’s core departments, including municipal engineering, construction engineering, transportation, land development, and survey and mapping.
KAPPA Mapping Inc., Bangor, Maine, added Rob Strong to its staff. Strong has six years of experience working with plani-metric and topographic compilation, digital orthophotography, digitization of tax maps and gas pipelines with ArcInfo and ArcTools software, and CAD systems operations.
