The ultrarugged Archer now is configurable in 16 different languages and features up to 512 MB of internal data storage. The Archer runs Microsoft® Windows Mobile® version 5.0 and is powered by the Intel XScale 520Mhz processor. Durability in extreme environments makes the Archer the premier choice for those in need of a pocket-sized Field PC for rugged applications. The ultra-rugged Archer Field PC meets IP67 and Mil-Std-810F standards for drop, vibration, immersion, humidity, and operating temperatures. The Archer case is made of sturdy, lightweight magnesium and features an easy-to-grip over-molding, available in high-visibility orange or subdued gray. A vibrant color display and large, backlit keys are optimized for outdoor use. The rechargeable Li-Ion battery operates for more than 20 hours on one charge and recharges in 5 hours or less; intelligence within the battery provides accurate charge status to the user at all times.
The new Archer Power Dock lets you synchronize with a desktop PC via USB and charge the Archer battery at the same time. A spare battery can also be charged. A Travel Charger is available for charging spare batteries on the go.
The Archer’s versatility is enhanced by using peripheral SD and CF cards with an Archer extended cap. Extended caps accommodate a GPS receiver, camera, bar code scanner, RFID, cellular modem, WiFi, or data storage card while maintaining the rugged integrity of the Archer. Simply plug the cards in and attach the appropriate extended cap; enhanced capabilities are then available in a fully integrated, sealed package. Integrated Bluetooth® wireless technology is available as an option.
Microsoft® Windows Mobile® powers more than 18,000 applications. The Archer includes Microsoft® Excel® Mobile, PowerPoint® Mobile, Word® Mobile, Outlook® Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, and ActiveSync® for the desktop PC. These programs deliver improved productivity by allowing seamless synchronization of files, tasks, and appointments with an office PC.
