REDDING, CA - SECO Manufacturing Company recently introduced a new, portable carbon fiber GPS/GIS Pole.

The Satellite Stick XL for GPS/GIS field work is a large-diameter (25-mm) sectional pole. It features six screw-together sections kept together (when broken down) by a durable elastic shock cord. The sections quickly screw together to form a rigid two-meter pole.

The pole breaks down to a manageable and compact bundle just 37.5-cm in overall length. “We had surveyors asking for the portability of our standard Satellite Stick but with a larger diameter,” said Mike Copeland, SECO Product Manager. “The XL addresses that need.” Standard features include a 40-minute adjustable bubble, an elastic strap for bundling, a replaceable point, and a carrying bag.

The Satellite Stick XL is scheduled to ship to SECO dealers within the month.
