The technical requirements are based on acquisition of multibeam echosounder (MBES), sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiling data, using AUV technology. The selection process was based upon a combination of Fugro's proven dedicated survey vessel and Kongsberg's latest AUV technology (HUGIN 3000), supported by Fugro's team of in-house Project Managers, Hydrographers, Electrical Engineers (dedicated to AUV support), GIS Specialist and Geohazards Specialist staff members.
Fugro's Hugin 3000 AUV, named the "Echo Surveyor" is the latest generation of AUV technology. Fugro has a track record of over 10,000 kilometres acquired AUV data, worldwide. Use of such a proven vessel platform and AUV technology will provide enhanced productivity and reliability, ultimately ensuring optimum adherence to project schedules.
The operations will be executed from Fugro Pelagos' office at Stennis, Mississippi.
