Hugh H. Hughes, R.L.S., L.S., Joins Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) as Project Director, Surveys

LAUREL, MD -September 7, 2006 - In response to the increase in contracts awarded to the firm's Laurel Survey group, engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O) announces the appointment of Hugh H. Hughes, R.L.S., L.S., as Project Director, Surveys. Working from the Fairfax, Virginia office, Mr. Hughes will oversee survey projects and operations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for federal, state, and local government clients, and private sector clients.

"We are excited to have Hugh join our team," said Brian Wood, Division Manager, Surveys. "During his 30 year career, he has worked on many of the area's important projects - most recently the Largo and King Street Metro stations, The Katzen Art Center at American University, the NIH Visitor Center, the U.S. Air Force Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps Museum, and the Washington/Dulles International airport APM Tunnel. With that experience combined with his supervision and project management expertise, he will be a strong addition to the group."

Mr. Hughes' experience includes project management, office and field personnel supervision, cost estimating and budgeting, and technical standards and procedures development. He is a Professional Land Surveyor in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and a Registered Land Surveyor in the District of Columbia.
