Denver, Colo. -- 19 September 2006 -- To increase awareness of its feature extraction services, LAND INFO Worldwide Mapping, LLC is offering a promotion through the end of December 2006: any U.S.-based customer that buys from LAND INFO a DigitalGlobe® CitySphere™ product will receive a free set of road vectors extracted from this highly-accurate off-the-shelf QuickBird imagery. Promotion applies only to cities outside the U.S.
The CitySphere™ series from DigitalGlobe features orthorectified 60-cm (2-foot) color imagery of 200 of the largest cities worldwide, 146 of them outside the U.S. The majority of the imagery was processed using GPS ground control; the resulting high accuracy of 2.5 m (8 feet) is very appropriate for a range of applications in urban areas.
