XYZworks announced the Fieldbook XL data collector based on a 624 MHz Intel processor. Fieldbook XL includes 128 MB SDRAM and 512 MB built-in CF Card storage. It also features a CF card slot to add additional storage, a 9-pin serial port and a USB port. Fieldbook XL has built-in wireless Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities, and is rated IP65. Fieldbook XL operates on Microsoft Windows CE.NET 5.0 and has a two-year limited warranty for parts and labor. Convenience features include a removable nickel metal hydride battery (providing up to 12 hours of power), a stylus holder and three styluses, and a hand strap. The data collector comes with Fieldworks software, which works with most popular total stations, GPS, roading and robots without the need to buy extra modules.
