INDIANAPOLIS - The Schneider Corporation, a leading engineering, GIS and land surveying service provider, is pleased to announce the acquisition of John Kohl & Company, P.C., a 40 year old land surveying firm based in Nashville, Tenn. The acquisition, effective April 1, is the latest move by Indianapolis-based Schneider to expand its services outside of central Indiana.
The combined resources of the two companies will strengthen Schneider's strong pattern of growth - the company grew to $31 million and added over 80 employees in 2005. In addition to their new Nashville location, the company currently has five offices throughout the state of Indiana, one in Charlotte, North Carolina, and one in Ames, Iowa.
"John Kohl & Company has been a mainstay in the Nashville market for over 40 years and we can learn a great deal from their successes and experiences," said Ed Jolliffe, president of The Schneider Corporation. "We plan on taking the next 60-90 days to integrate best practices from John and his team into our business. We also want to take this time to make sure the quality and commitment our existing clients have come to expect from us is in place before we begin to offer our integrated solutions to this new market."
John Kohl, president of John Kohl & Company, will continue with Schneider during the transition to assist with business development activity. "Our company fits perfectly within The Schneider Corporation and I'm confident they will take excellent care of our employees and customers with the same commitment and attention we've demonstrated for over 40 years," said Kohl.
