As part of their ongoing strategy to reach out to international markets, Quest Solutions, Inc. has partnered with an Australian company to provide localized service and support for Quest users down under.

The company, Quest Estimating Pty. Ltd., was established in November 2005 by Eric and Irene Silcott, and is the official Solution Provider for Quest Solutions software in Australia and New Zealand. Quest Solutions has been active in the Australian market in the past, but until now the company has not maintained a permanent presence there. Quest Estimating will be handling sales, training, tech. support, and customer service issues in the region.

In the few months since its inception, Quest Estimating has been very busy getting to know the Australian and New Zealand construction markets. The Silcotts have been hard at work developing demonstration techniques and tools that will meet the high expectations of local contractors.

"Quest has an amazing product line," says Eric Silcott. "I have not seen an estimating system in either Australia or New Zealand that comes close to the versatility that Quest offers. I believe that the real challenge to us at the moment is building a comfort level with potential customers. Digitized takeoff is still a very foreign term here, and we're facing the same challenges Quest faced in their early days in the United States.

"We think at first our market share will grow from the grassroots, based on word-of-mouth advertising," he continues. "The Australian construction industry is much smaller than the industry in the US-most companies in each state know each other pretty well, and they do like to talk shop."

The Asia/Pacific countries have seen significant economic grow over the past 6 years. Quest is focused on expanding its international market share and is actively pursuing those goals in Latin America, Caribbean, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Quest Estimating is working towards becoming a standout international Solution Partner, while developing a focus on Micronesia and Asia over the coming years.

Quest Solutions has been providing automated takeoff and estimating systems to the construction industry for two decades. Contractors around the world and in every specialty have used Quest's products to streamline their estimating processes, win more bids, and make more money.
