Denver, Colo. (April 5, 2006)"¦The City of Phoenix Aviation Department recently awarded Woolpert, Inc. with a contract to create an enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) for the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

Over the next 42 months, Woolpert will be creating and merging data and developing 14 different applications in order to provide the airport with a scalable solution to integrate key processes, data and systems into a centralized GIS. The firm will be performing systems integration, data conversion, photogrammetry, facilities planning, survey and indoor LiDAR (light detection and ranging) services. "Using our unique blend of services, we intend to create a world class information system for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport that will produce rapid return on investment," said Woolpert Vice President and project manager John Przybyla.

By 2009, Woolpert will produce a comprehensive and scalable enterprise information management system for the airport. The GIS will manage information from 14 key support systems including SAP, lease management, document management, noise control, master planning, environmental and facilities management. This information will be shared across multiple aviation departments, and will be distributed via a centralized ESRI ArcGIS server web portal.

Woolpert, Inc., ranked by ENR as a top national design firm, provides professional engineering, architectural, geospatial and related consulting services to clients in the public and private sectors. Founded in 1911, Woolpert's innovative design approach and commitment to the creative application of technology have grown the firm into a leader in the consulting industry.
