[UKPRwire, Fri Mar 23 2007] A chartered surveyor from London has won a dream prize to train with Wayne Rooney, Stephen Gerrard, John Terry and the other members of the England football team. Richard Ingham, from the chartered surveyors Thomas Davidson, won the raffle prize which was sponsored by Avanta at a celebrity Poker evening hosted by Vinnie Jones and television presenter, Natalie Pinkham. The event was organised to raise funds for the children’s charity SPARKS, which aims to give every child a healthy start in life.

Attending a training session at Manchester United Football Club’s training ground on the eve of England’s recent match at Old Trafford against Spain, Richard enjoyed a once-in-lifetime opportunity to rub shoulders with the country’s best footballers.

Richard said: “It was an unforgettable experience to see the heroes of English football close up, having watched them so many times on television before. It’s a great story to tell my friends and family, but I only wish I could have brought the team more luck in their game the following day.”
