Aurora, Colo., Feb. 21, 2006-The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) is offering an expanded series of track topics at its Annual Conference 29, slated for April 23-26 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.

The 15 track topics for the 63 technical paper presentation include Data Acquisition and Maintenance, Internet and Web Services, Organizational Impacts, Public Sector Issues, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Response, Mobile Applications, Operations Management, Technology Directions, Enterprise Architecture, System Integration, Work and Asset Management, Project Management, One-Call Connection, Planning, Design, and Engineering, and ROI/Business Case.

"In choosing these topics, we examined events of the past year to see what issues are most relevant to the geospatial industry right now." said Conference Chair Greg Buehler of Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. "I am confident that the paper presentations we've chosen will address those issues, and I'm excited to see what discussions will come from them."

The conference will also feature nine preconference Knowledge Immersion Seminars, user forums, panel discussions, networking socials, a job fair, a poster session, and a 100,000-square-foot product and services exhibition.

Online registration is now open. Registration fees start at $379. Exhibits-only passes are $25. Full details about the conference are available at the GITA Web site, located at www.gita.org, or by contacting GITA at 303-337-0513, e-mail info@gita.org.
