SOKKIA announced that the Series30R reflectorless total station series now incorporates communication functions designed to increase work efficiency. The Bluetooth wireless communication function is available for Series30R as a factory option to provide cable-free communication with data collectors (via integrated Bluetooth technology). The SFX (Sokkia Field-info Xpress) function, fitted as standard, enables data transfer via the Internet using mobile phones. As Series30R's Bluetooth wireless communications module has a dial-up function, SFX can be used without cables if the mobile phone also incorporates Bluetooth technology. Fur-thermore, this latest version of Series30R is equipped with enhanced surveying programs. New functions have been added, including set-out arc, intersections, traverse adjustment, sea level correction, and a number of enhancements to existing applications. Series 30R total stations also offer a robust IP66 level of dust and water resistance, and distance measuring capabilities of survey-grade accuracy ±(3+2 ppm x D)mm from 30 cm to 350 m (Class 3R models).
