The first day of the conference, Tuesday, October 8, 2002, comprises workshops and will be highlighted by a luncheon address by Dr. Tina Cary, founder and president of Cary and Associates. Wednesday's program begins with a keynote address by USGS Geographic Information Officer Karen Siderelis, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the exhibition. Concurrent technical sessions and the exhibition will continue through Thursday.
