Avenza Announces Results of MAPublisher Map Competition

Avenza Systems Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, announced the final results of the 2001 MAPublisher Map Competition.

Over 40 maps were received in eight categories. The Best Map prize of a Palm Vx went to The Louisiana Geological Survey, Baton Rouge, La. for the Official Map of Louisiana 2000. Winners included:

General Purpose Category: First Prize Winner Official Map of Louisiana 2000: Louisiana Geological Survey, Baton Rouge, La.

Geologic Category: First Prize Winner (tie) Geologic map of the Grand Canyon 30’X60’ quadrangle, northwestern Arizona: USGS, Denver, Colo. Muravera: Debora Graziosi, Earth Sciences Department – University of Siena, Siena, Italy
