A/E, SURVEYING SERVICES, WASHINGTON D.C.

The National Gallery of Art is seeking firms to provide condition surveys and examinations, archival research within the gallery and structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering consulting for renovation projects. Consultants will be responsible for project work including the implementation of tests, surveys, investigation work, design work, development of construction documents utilizing standard Gallery drawings and specifications. Firms must provide instances of specialized experience and technical competence conducting similar work for the restoration and repair of museums, proven ability of a team to design and implement phased renovation work, proven ability to accomplish work within specified time and cost, and proof of customer satisfaction with past performances. Preference will be given to firms located in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Estimated award date of contract is February 2002.
