LizardTech provided a preview demonstration of the Window on the Universe CD at the GIS2001 conference in London. The CD is a follow-up to last years’ Window on the UK 2000 CD and was developed by the British National Space Centre (BNSC). It is an electronic information band of astronomy and space science with contributions from several companies and technologies, including LizardTech’s MrSID digital imaging software. MrSID was used to enable over 500 photos to be placed on the CD.
