MoreNiles and Associates, a civil engineering and aerial mapping company in Lexington, Ky., has been acquired by Vaughn & Melton, Inc., headquartered in Middlesboro Ky. Vaughn & Melton also has offices in Greeneville and Knoxville (TN), Asheville (NC), and Huntington (WV).
The Niles and Associates, Inc. name will be changed to Vaughn & Melton Engineers and Photogrammetrists, Inc. Robert H. Niles, will remain as CEO of the Lexington office. David A. Atwell, a thirty-year veteran with Vaughn & Melton, will become Chief Operating Officer in Lexington. George Anderson of the Niles staff will continue as head of the highway design department.
