The Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA), Aurora, Colo., has published the Geospatial Technology Report 2001,: A Survey of Organizations Implementing Geospatial Information Technologies. The report contains information on the completeness, complexity and direction of GIS projects being implemented at 157 infrastructure-based organizations. The 66-page report is on CD and is divided into electric, gas, pipeline, telecommunications and water/sewer/storm sections. It provides cross-industry analyses and information on individual industries. Project status information includes land based accuracy, sophistication, conversion completion, information maintenance cycles and more. The report is the fourth in a series. The report is free for survey participants and is available to GITA members for $85. Non-members can get a copy for $125. Copies can be obtained at www.gita.org.
