Following a precedent sent last year, the deadline to enter the ACSM Map Design Competition has been extended to December 31st to accommodate students who were in classes and because of the holidays.
The contest, sponsored by the Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS) of ACSM and the National Geographic Society, supports professional and student achievement in map design. Participants may enter in either the professional or student competitions.
Winners in the professional category will be selected for:
The student competition is sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The $300 cash prize is awarded for the best student map submission.
