Diana Clemente has been named to the new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SPOT Image Corporation. She will be responsible for day-to-day operations, management of North American Channel Partners and coordination with SPOT IMAGE, S.A., the parent company in Toulouse, France. Diana has been with SPOT Image for 9 years, most recently as Director of Customer Support, managing the Customer Service Division and Project Management.

SPOT has undergone significant change over the last 2 years in an increasingly competitive market. Much of the company's regional production has been centralized in Toulouse, France. Sales activity continues with regional subsidiaries in the U.S., Australia, Beijing, Singapore, with new SPOT offices opening in Germany and the Middle East.

The innovative Channel Partner concept was developed for companies to establish long-term commitments with SPOT as strategic business partners. Exclusive Channel Partner contracts exist with DigitalGlobe for the U.S. defense and agriculture markets; IUNCTUS Geomatics for the Canadian market; ImageONE in Japan; and BSA Ing¿erie, a subsidiary of the Mauritanian BSA group in Mauritania. SPOT anticipates signing at least 2 additional partnerships this year.
