MorePremier Data Services (Premier) and Spatial Data Technologies (SDT) have signed a business partner agreement which will enhance overall product offerings to clients of both companies. Under this agreement, Premier’s PDS Studio, a set of powerful Internet-enabled landware and online mapping software tools, will be combined with SDT’s CartoPac product to bring asset data to the mobile workforce. These newly linked technologies will allow clients to draw from Premier’s suite of products to obtain land information, and then use Spatial Data’s mobile technologies and full range of raster maps and imagery. The effect is to put information where it’s most useful – in the hands of a mobile work force.
The agreement was prompted by the interest of shared customers whose challenges were best solved by uniting the flagship technologies of each company: Premier Data’s PDS Studio, a set of powerful Internet-enabled landware and online mapping software tools combined with the mobility component of SDT’s CartoPac. The resulting product offering will combine accurate mobile mapping, field data capture and data management with open access to the full range of maps and images.

The agreement calls for both companies to continue their respective legacies of “ease of use” by engineering interfaces to place most of the complex GIS functionality behind the scenes.
