Groupe Alta has declared its intentions to acquire the two companies, thus adding two subsidiaries to its assets, which already include three other companies in the same field (Hauts-Monts inc., GPL Consultants inc. and Geomat International inc.). The two new members employ over 50 professionals and technicians and offer technological products and services complementary to Groupe Alta's range of Aerial Imagery Services and Geomatics Solutions. The transaction, signed in Québec City earlier this week, consolidates Groupe Alta's position has a world leader, with over 160 employees and annual revenues of more than 16 million dollars.
Geomatique EMCO, in business since 1986 (www.geoemco.com), is a company specialized in the production of basic and added value Spatial Referenced Data. Certified ISO 9001, the company services various types of clientele in the urban management, transportation and energy, telecommunication and natural resources distribution sectors.
DVP-GS (www.dvp-gs.com) develops and commercializes worldwide, a complete range of Imagery and Digital Cartography Software since 1989. The company has clients in more than 70 countries.
