FieldWorks, Olathe, Kan., and Leica Geosystems, Atlanta, Ga., announced a distribution alliance for the sale and service of Leica Geosystems products in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Indiana. FieldWorks will be expanding into the St. Louis area; the new location will be named “FieldWorks Missouri.”

Tripod Data Systems (TDS) , Corvallis, Ore., appointed Raymond G. Kerwin as regional sales manager for the Northeast region. Kerwin comes to TDS after 12 years at Topcon. Kerwin is based in the TDS office in West Milford, New Jersey.

Thales Navigation, Santa Clara, Calif., appointed Stig Pedersen director of GIS product marketing, reporting to Neil Vancans, general manager of the professional products strategic business unit. Pedersen is responsible for developing and launching all of Thales Navigation’s GIS products for the professional market. Also, Tom Capizzi was appointed vice president of worldwide human resources and Elissa Wellikson was appointed vice president and general counsel.

Trimble Engineering and Construction, Sunnyvale, Calif., appointed John Ambrey as western regional sales representative

for Callidus, its new 3D laser scanning product. Ambrey brings nine years of sales experience in the survey/civil engineering markets.

Lucy Kuhns joined Holman’s Inc. , Albuquerque, N.M., as a CAD support and training specialist. Kuhns has certifications for several Autodesk products such as AutoCAD 2002, Land Desktop, AutoCAD Map, Raster Design and others. Kuhns is an Autodesk certified instructor and has been training and working with Autodesk and Softdesk products since 1989.

ASPRS, Bethesda, Md., elected Kevin Perkins as vice chair of the ASPRS Sustaining Members Council. He will serve a one-year term as vice chair and then become chair of the Council for a two-year term. Perkins is the North American sales manager of airborne systems for Applanix Corporation, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
