Intergraph Plans Open Solutions Exchange for GeoSpatial World 2004 10.28.2003

Conference attendees to receive strategies to unlock technology's promise.

Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions and the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC) unveiled conference plans to deliver unprecedented content and value for geospatial professionals at the fourth annual GeoSpatial World to be held May 12-14, 2004, in Miami Beach, Florida. Themed "Open. Solutions. Exchange.," the program for GeoSpatial World 2004 will address open technology and standards, demonstrate proven industry solutions and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and expertise with users from around the world.

GeoSpatial World is the annual international training and management conference for Intergraph customers and individuals who are interested in learning more about managing and applying geospatial information and solutions. The conference is constructed to target specific industry needs, including utilities, communications, commercial remote sensing and photogrammetry, location-based services, military and intelligence, national and federal government, state and local government and transportation markets. Decision makers, managers, technical staff, analysts, developers and others who use, benefit from or support spatially-related data will benefit from visionary keynote addresses; technical presentations; hands-on training seminars and workshops; user network meetings; one-on-one, ask-the-expert sessions; products, projects and solutions exhibition; and networking and social events.

The GeoSpatial World 2004 agenda is organized around a collective set of solutions topics identified as significant areas to unlock technology's promise, improve workflow processes and enable enterprise interoperability. They include enterprise plans and business models for implementation; technology and best practices application; challenges, lessons learned, and successes of geospatial data, mapping and GIS users; strategies and roadmaps for the geospatial industry; geo-enabling your enterprise; increasing return on investment; applying technology to create strategic value; and much more.

"From visions and strategies to real-world application implementation, GeoSpatial World is the platform for communicating business and technical information and learning from and sharing expertise with users from around the world," said Arlen Reimnitz, Executive Administrator of the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community. "The 2004 conference will give attendees solid information to solve the challenges geospatial professionals face today as well as new perspectives on the opportunities associated with unlocking the potential of geospatial information in an enterprise system."
