Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions announced the GeoMedia International Internship program. This opportunity is available to post graduate and undergraduate students in universities, community colleges, and technical schools. The internship program provides a challenging global business environment that enables students to gain knowledge and enhance their skills in geographic information systems (GIS) and the industry-proven GeoMedia technology. Students interested in developing their technical marketing and support skills are encouraged to submit their resumes.

Internships will be offered initially in Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States, with additional opportunities in a later phase of the program. For a minimum of 20 weeks, students will prepare data and project documentation, construct and execute software demos, offer basic technical support for GeoMedia, and help organize technical exhibitions. Knowledge and basic skill requirements include:

• English skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of a GIS software, including GIS and mapping principles and workflow
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Understanding of simple DBMS systems and related Microsoft SQL
