William C. Martin Named SCSPLS 2002 Surveyor of the Year 08.08.2002

The South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors recently honored William C. Martin of Enoree, SC, by selecting him South Carolina “Surveyor of the Year” for 2002. Mr. Martin was presented with this honor at the Society’s annual convention in May held at Ocean Dunes Resort Hotel, Myrtle Beach, SC. The Surveyor of the Year Award is presented annually by the Society to a surveyor who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of land surveying in the State of South Carolina.

Mr. Martin exemplifies the high standards and commitment to the surveying profession that this award honors. He is devoted to the profession of surveying, giving of his personal time to promote surveying and leadership in the SC Society of Professional Surveyors.

Billy is employed with Sinclair and Associates, Inc. in Duncan, SC. He is a registered land surveyor in the states of South Carolina and North Carolina. He has been a member of the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors for the past 21 years where he served as President in 2001-02. He is also a member of the Upper Piedmont Chapter of the SCSPLS where he also has served in many capacities, including President of the Chapter.

He resides with his wife, Tammy, in Enoree, SC, where he is a member of the Enoree United Methodist Church and serves as a volunteer fireman for his community.
