Most popular brand of European personal navigation products now available to USA.

National Technology Services, Inc. (NTS) has been named as the national distributor for TomTom personal navigation products for the USA. TomTom produces the top selling software in Europe for PDA/GPS based interactive mapping. Recognizing the opportunity in the American market, TomTom has opened its first office in the USA, located in Concord, MA. By the time their office was able to ship products in June 2003, Jocelyn Vigreux, President of TomTom USA, had selected NTS to service the retail sales distribution channel. NTS began receiving its first orders from American retail stores at the end of June.

The TomTom Navigator product runs on any Pocket PC powered PDA equipped with a GPS device. TomTom manufacturers their own brand of GPS but their software supports most GPS brands on the market. The program displays your current location on a color 3D map, and announces voice commands as well as graphical indicators giving you driving directions as you drive. "With TomTom, travelers can spend their time enjoying the trip, and not in planning it," says Mike McGlinn, Director of Sales for NTS.

Jocelyn Vigreux, president of TomTom said, "The TomTom Navigator is a proven success in Europe, where tens of thousands of European citizens are currently relying on its state-of-the-art navigation capabilities to find their way. With TomTom Navigator's launch in the U.S., we look forward to improving the lives of business and leisure travelers who require a highly dependable, user-friendly navigation system to meet their planned and unplanned travel needs."
