NavCom Technology Inc. a leader in precise positioning and communications technology, announced that its high precision StarFire and Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS receivers are now fully supported by XYZworks’ FieldWorks field data collection software.

NavCom’s centimeter accurate RTK GPS sensors, built for high precision survey and machine control applications, provide a high level of accuracy and response from a dual-frequency GPS receiver. NavCom’s dual-frequency StarFire receivers, ideal for wide area mobile operations such as offshore dynamic positioning, machine control and aerial photogrammetry, provide the decimeter accuracy of the satellite based StarFire GPS augmentation network on a worldwide basis without the need for local base stations. XYZworks’ FieldWorks data collection software operates on PocketPCs using the Windows CE operating system. It is an easy to learn and use program that seamlessly integrates with PocketCAD and is loaded with unparalleled features for land surveying and construction applications. The integration of this software with NavCom’s sensors presents survey and construction industry users with a high accuracy all-in-one option to meet their application needs.

“NavCom is delighted to offer this proven and powerful data collection software to our equipment users,” said NavCom GPS Product Manager Kevin Dixon. “FieldWorks not only increases the choices of complete system solutions available to them, but it also provides existing FieldWorks users the opportunity to benefit from NavCom’s advanced positioning technologies.”
