Thales Navigation, Santa Clara, Calif., consolidated all its professional GPS products, including its well-known Ashtech brand, under the Thales Navigation brand name. The re-branding is designed to unify Thales Navigation’s professional product offerings and help streamline the company’s marketing communications efforts.

Leica Geosystems, Atlanta, Ga., appointed Spatial Technologies Inc. , Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as its GPS dealer for Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan. Leica Geosystems’ subsidiary CYRA Technologies Inc. has also named Spatial Technologies as a dealer of the CYRAX 2500 laser scanner and software in Western Canada.

Leica Geosystems also announced GeoSolution, Alpharetta, Ga., as its newest GPS distributor in the southeastern United States.



Chwalibog
The Trimble Engineering and Construction division, Sunnyvale, Calif., appointed John Chwalibog Eastern regional sales representative for Callidus, Trimble’s 3D laser-scanning product.

NovaLIS Technologies, Charlotte, N.C., opened a new west coast regional office and hired David Finney as the new regional sales manager to service the western United States market. Finney supervises the sales of all products and services for the western United States.



Keating
Intergraph, Huntsville, Ala., signed an agreement with the Carl Zeiss Group, Thornwood, N.Y., to acquire its minority interest in Z/I Imaging, Huntsville, Ala. Intergraph also announced that Dr. Terry Keating has joined Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions as an executive vice president. C
