Laser-Scan will be demonstrating how excellence in spatial data quality can be achieved using interoperable topology. Yann Le Yhuelic, Technical Consultant from Autodesk will deliver the presentation which will be followed by a live demonstration using Laser-Scan¿s Radius Topology product. Laser-Scan joins other Oracle Spatial partners at this event.

Laser-Scan¿s Radius Topology is a dynamic topology management layer that was delivered on the Oracle9i platform. This means that Radius Topology acts as a ¿gatekeeper¿, only allowing clean, accurate data into the database. Inconsistent data is automatically corrected, within the bounds of user-defined rules.

Laser-Scan is also exhibiting at the OracleWorld exhibition (October 20-23) in Paris where it will be highlighting the Radius Topology for Oracle Database 10g solution. This solution is the result of testing as part of the Oracle Database 10g beta programme; Laser-Scan was invited to take part in the programme and has been involved from the design stage. This gatekeeper will create and maintain data within the Oracle10g topology storage model. This design is currently being tested in Oracle¿s New England Development Center.

The Oracle Spatial SIG takes place on Monday October 20th at CNIT La Defense in Paris. The event coincides with OracleWorld, which runs from October 20-23 at the same venue.
