MoreDue to the overwhelming response received from the GeoCommunity career Center "RFP Central" over the past several months, the GeoCommunity (www.GeoComm.com) has rolled out a resource dedicated to GIS & GeoSpatial industry RFP, RFQ and bid notifications. Visitors will find numerous RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and related bid documents listed at GeoBids on a daily basis. Supporting resources such as feature articles, project management related links and publications are also available.
Agencies wishing to have their RFPs and bid announcements placed at GeoBids can do so at no cost by submitting related documents using a simple form or via email to geobids@geocomm.com. National, State, County, and Local Government agencies, as well as utilities, consulting firms, and other industries are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to reach a highly targeted community of GIS and GeoSpatial industry professionals by getting listed on GeoBids. Note: Bids are mostly from US-based agencies, however, documents from Asia, India, Australia, Canada, and the UK are frequently listed.
On the flip side, visitors to GeoBids can now subscribe to the Bid notification service in order to gain access to the RFPs. Once proposals are added to the GeoBids database they will then be automatically distributed to registered subscribers via a simple, ASCII formatted email. A 3 month subscription to the service is offered at a cost less than $1 per day for this valuable information. Subscribers will be sent a friendly notice prior to the expiration of the service, reminding them to renew for another 3 months. RFP titles will be updated daily on the website, however, the documents are only accessible by account holders. Visitors can subscribe by visiting http://geobids.geocomm.com/subscribe/
