Laser-Scan Reaches New Zealand Markets 04.04.2003

Laser-Scan has signed a reseller agreement with independent consulting firm, Theta Systems Limited.

Theta Systems Limited is an Information Technology consulting company providing technical solutions to a wide range of customers. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Theta has worked with numerous large corporate organisations across the Oceanic region.

The reseller agreement enables Theta Systems Limited to distribute Laser-Scan's latest product, Radius Topology, throughout the Oceanic region. Radius Topology provides an excellent complement to the existing spatial solutions provided by the organisation and adds value to not only their existing client base but also new projects.

Rob Benson, Theta's Managing Director, said:

"Radius Topology is an excellent example of the type of product that enables Theta to add significant value to our customers. There is considerable untapped potential for GIS solutions in this part of the world and our partnership with Laser-Scan strengthens our ability to service that need"

Theta is an OraclePartnerNetwork Certified Partner and is rapidly expanding in the GIS field with projects demonstrating the power of spatial data in solving a diverse range of business challenges.

Duncan Guthrie, Laser-Scan's Sales and Marketing Director, said:

"Theta typifies the type of organisation we are looking to work with. They have a huge enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions to everyday problems. Their knowledge of markets in New Zealand and internationally will help to greatly extend the Radius Topology network."

Radius Topology extends the Oracle9i database and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and consistency of spatial data handling. Working behind the scenes, Radius Topology automatically adds topological intelligence to data; existing Oracle spatial software and GIS applications can continue unchanged. Laser-Scan's Radius Topology brings the advantages of GIS to all users within the IT environment.
