DMTI Spatial Announces Unparalled Increase in Topographic and Land Use Coverage 04.24.2003

DMTI Spatial extended its coverage from 157 to 745 urban centers.

In a major leap forward, DMTI Spatial, Canada’s leading expert on map and address data, has vastly expanded its comprehensive topographic and land use classification file extending its coverage from 157 to 745 urban centers.

The inclusion of topographic and land use coverage for an additional 588 urban areas is unprecedented and represents a near four-fold increase. Areas of land use defined include residential, commercial, resource & industrial, government & institutional, parks & recreational, waterbody as well as open areas.

“Our customers have told us they need this data, and we are delivering,” said Don DeGenova, Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Alliances at DMTI Spatial. “As always our key objective in developing new products or enhancing established products is to provide our customers with the data they need to help them realize greater success in their business operations.”

DMTI Spatial is also the developer of GeoPinpoint Suite V4.0, Canada’s leading geocoding software solution, CanMap Streetfiles V7.0, CanMap RouteLogistics V7.0, CanMap Rail V1.2, CanMap Major Roads and Highways V7.0, Version 7.0 of the Six Digit and Enhanced Postal Code Files, and Populated Placenames V1.4.
