MoreDefiniens Imaging and DigitalGlobe have signed an agreement, under which Definiens’ and DigitalGlobe act as Software Partner. Under this agreement Definiens has access to the latest Quickbird geometric sensor models and technical product information to optimize the performance of its premier product eCognition.
“The object oriented approach in eCognition is perfectly suited to analyze the new quality of space based resolution, Quickbird is giving to our users”, says Matt Wood, Manager Product Marketing at DigitalGlobe.
Definiens’ clients worldwide use eCognition already for projects demanding very high resolution data such as urban mapping, forest inventory and security related aspects. “Partnering with DigitalGlobe gives us also a better understanding of the supply side of the “end-to-end” value adding chain in remote sensing. Especially our professional services customers rely on our ability not just to understand the “image science” but the entire business case”, says Gunter Schreier, Vice President Definiens Imaging.
Definiens Imaging and its distribution partner PCI Geomatics presented eCognition during the Eurimage Meeting May 14-16, in Frascati near Rome, Italy. Eurimage is exclusive distribution partner of DigitalGlobe in Europe and North Africa.
