Ruot has more than 29 years of experience in the information technology industry and a history of successful GIS implementations for municipalities and utilities. Ruot's expertise spans project management, needs assessment, information systems, organizational coordination and resource and financial planning.

As a Woolpert project manager, Ruot will help define vision and strategy for clients, as well as organize the resources needed to execute the strategy. He is responsible for the project's completion and quality.

Ruot earned a B.A. in computer information systems from Saint Leo University. He is a member of the Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA), Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) and Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Ruot also served as the past board chair of the Indianapolis Mapping and Geographic Infrastructure System.
