Hanley Wood Exhibitions Announces New Event to Meet the Needs of the Technology Construction Marketplace 4.6.04

Formerly known as A|E|C SYSTEMS, the new 35,000 square foot Technology for Construction will be part of the 2005 World of Concrete show.

Addressing changing industry demand, Hanley Wood Exhibitions announces the creation of Technology for Construction, a conference and exhibition that will debut at the 2005 World of Concrete (WOC), January 18-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

Formerly staged in a separate exhibit area and known as A|E|C SYSTEMS, the new 35,000 square foot Technology for Construction will be part of the 2005 WOC show floor and will be made up of past A|E|C SYSTEMS exhibitors and WOC technology companies. This new combined technology exhibit will showcase cutting-edge products, tools and solutions that focus on innovation and design.

Technology for Construction will also offer a separate, cross-functional, solutions-oriented conference program that targets top management and decision-makers, including architects, engineers, contractors, construction managers, computer/CAD/MIS managers, consultants, designers, project managers, specifiers and much more. The multi-track program will offer approximately 50 sessions and will be led by the industry's most accomplished and respected leaders. The conference sessions will take place on Monday, January 17, through Friday, January 21, with session rooms on the second floor conveniently located directly above Technology for Construction.

McGraw-Hill Construction, publishers of industry-leading publications, Engineering News-Record (ENR) and Architectural Record, will serve as the official show sponsor of Technology for Construction. In addition, a Conference Advisory Board, composed of prominent and respected members of the architectural design, engineering and construction community, will provide guidance and proactively lead the development of the Technology for Construction conference program.

Located in the North Hall of the LVCC, Technology for Construction will be housed near The Producer Center, providing improved synergies and enhanced traffic flow throughout the entire show. World of Concrete spans over 700,000 square feet showcasing the latest products, equipment and services for concrete and masonry construction professionals.

The purpose of the Technology for Construction name change is to provide a new identity and better focus on the core markets served at both events, thereby creating a more cohesive event that better reflects the products and services featured in this area.

The name change is the latest in a series of enhancements to further define the show experience for exhibitors and attendees. Other moves include matching the booth space rates and show days of World of Concrete, in addition to a new show management team. Formerly managed by the A|E|C SYSTEMS team, the show will now be managed by the World of Concrete team. Conference Manager Brandi Orgeron and Account Executive Julianna Galloway have transferred from the A|E|C SYSTEMS team to the WOC team, and will work exclusively on Technology for Construction.
